Proposed data center faces renewed opposition in Plymouth Township

A new round in the fight over a proposed 2 million-square-foot data center in Montgomery County is set to unfold at a Thursday evening meeting in Plymouth Township. Developer Brian O’Neill is expected to begin presenting his case during a meeting scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Residents, local business owners in the Plymouth Township area and homeowners are expected to question O’Neill’s witnesses through their attorneys. O’Neill said the project would generate millions of dollars for the local tax base and benefit the community, including nearby schools. “I think it’s a lot of upset people getting bad information from bad actors,” O’Neill said. According to O’Neill, he has agreed to about 90% of the township’s demands and believes many residents have been misinformed about the project.
