Trebel Music acquires superfan platform Sesh
musically.com · 7d
Trebel Music is one of the more interesting streaming platforms, in that it offers licensed music listening (and even offline play) for free – in exchange for a gamified ad-based model: users watch ads or interact with brands, accrue points, and use those points to listen to music. Superfan platform Sesh, meanwhile, creates artist-superfan connectivity, via things like artist ‘Member Cards’ which artists share via a trackable link, and which then pings notifications right into fans’ mobile wallets.
First report: Superfan platform Sesh acquired by free music app TREBEL to build out artist services across the Americas — musicbusinessworldwide.com, 8d
