Six Bulgarian Athletes to Compete at European Athletics Championships in Birmingham

Six athletes will represent Bulgaria at the European Athletics Championships that will take place from August 10 to 16 in Birmingham, the Bulgarian Athletics Federation announced. Bozhidar Saraboyukov, who claimed the long jump title at the 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, will compete in his signature event. In the women's triple jump, Bulgaria will be represented by Gabriela Petrova, the European indoor silver medalist from Prague 2015, and Aleksandra Nacheva, the 2018 World U20 champion from Tampere. Hristo Iliev will compete in the men's 100 metres, while Kristen Radukanova will line up in the women's 200 metres. Marinela Nineva will represent Bulgaria in the women's marathon. A total of 1,645 athletes (840 men and 805 women) have entered this year's European Athletics Championships.
