Watching Elizabeth Nichols’ Lollapalooza debut on the BMI stage Thursday, you could see her win over the crowd in real time. A smattering of diehard fans filmed videos while passionately singing along to her viral song, “I Got a New One.” But much of the crowd – waiting to see rising pop singer Bella Kay – was treated for the first time to Nichols’ short, cheeky songs about boys, religion and small-town gossip.
