Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, were injured after a family gathering ended in a stabbing overnight in Germantown, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. At approximately 12:17 a.m., police said they responded to a report of a “person with a weapon” in the 2100 block of West Grange Avenue. When they arrived, officers spoke with a 32-year-old woman, one of the three victims, who reported attending a family gathering following a funeral. According to police, the woman told officers that a verbal altercation involving her boyfriend’s 37-year-old sister and two unknown family members had turned physical. During that fight, she told officers a firearm was displayed and the offender struck the her in the head multiple times with the weapon, causing lacerations. When the victim’s boyfriend, identified as a 35-year-old man, and her 14-year-old son intervened, the offender stabbed both of them multiple times, according to police.
