At least there aren't any frogs or locusts yet, but other plagues making Red Line riders fret

The Red Line resumes operations after time off for some overhauling and, well, things are not great, Bob . Following this morning's molasses-like commute: At 2:30 p.m., the MBTA reported delays of up to 15 minutes due to signal problems near Harvard. At 3:29 p.m., the T reported the signals were still problematic, but now there was also a report of smoke at Charles/MGH, and the delays were up to 20 minutes, enough that some trains might be standing by at stations, although presumably not Charles/MGH.
