President Urges Military Academy Graduates to Serve Bulgaria with Honour and Dignity

President and Commander-in-Chief of the Bulgarian Armed Forces Iliana Iotova urged officers graduating from the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy's Class of 2026, "Aprilski", to serve Bulgaria with honour and dignity, reminding them that every decision they make will affect the future of a nation with nearly 14 centuries of history. At the ceremony, Iotova presented awards to the top graduates of the class, Colonel Momchil Dimitrov, who graduated with the highest honours in Strategic Leadership of Defence and the Armed Forces, and Captain Nikolay Boychev, the top graduate in the Air Force specialization. Iotova said the graduates would soon become commanders entrusted with decisions of importance to both the Armed Forces and Bulgaria. She urged them to build on the knowledge they had acquired at the academy and adapt to rapidly evolving warfare shaped by new technologies, artificial intelligence and cyber warfare.
