Paralympic athlete completes 3,300-mile triatalon from New York to Los Angeles

A three-time Paralympian hoping to compete in the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles just completed a historic triathlon across America. Mohamed Lahna seems to be resetting the idea of what is humanly possible. Born with proximal femoral focal deficiency, a rare congenital condition that left him without a right femur, Lahna uses a prosthetic leg to tackle athletic achievements as a world-class triathlete. His latest achievement is the most impressive yet — a 3,300-mile cross-country triathlon. It started June 13 in New York with a 28.5-mile swim around Manhattan Island. He then cycled 3,000 miles from New York to Las Vegas. The one-man triathlon finished with a 300-mile run through scorching temperatures from Las Vegas to Venice Beach, California. Lhana embarked on the grueling journey to raise money for the non-profits Challenged Athletes Foundation and Save the Children. He hopes to raise at least $250,000. You can find more details here.
