A man was shot and killed early Sunday in North Philadelphia, police said. According to police, officers responded just before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, to the 2900 block of West Clementine Street, about a block away from Allegheny Avenue. When they arrived, police said they found the man in his 40s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. At least five spent shell casings were found near the scene, according to police. Police have not said what led up to the shooting; an active investigation is underway.
