Hot on the heels of the reveal of the new Neo-X1 SFF desktop , GMKtec has officially launched the Evo-X1Pro, a new mini PC aimed squarely at the gaming and workstation market. The Evo-X1 is powered by the 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. On top of the already considerable GPU horsepower present in the Radeon 890M baked into the APU, GMKtec has also equipped the Evo-X1 with an OCuLink port for proper eGPU support. The OCuLink port on the Evo-X1 runs at PCIe 4.0 ×4 speeds, allowing for 64 Gbps bandwidth, which is considerably faster than Thunderbolt 4. The CPU is cooled by a dual-fan, vapor-chamber cooling system that purportedly allows for up to 65 W system TDP in Performance mode. The mini PC's CNC aluminium case measures in at just 107 × 111 × 63 mm and weighs 590 g, making it more than compact enough for a travel PC setup. Launch pricing starts at $1,599.99 —with a launch discount of $700—for the variant with 64 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe SSD storage, while stepping up to 2
