TGI Fridays is forging a path forward after a headline-grabbing bankruptcy raised doubts about its future nearly two years ago, but fans of the casual dining brand in the United States might still have harder time finding one these days. The restaurant chain has lost almost 200 locations since the beginning of 2024, according to its most recent franchise disclosure document. Some states, including New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Virginia, have seen net location losses in the double digits over that period. Reached for comment by Fast Company , a spokesperson confirmed that TGI Fridays currently has 76 U.S. locations. Its disclosure document shows it had 269 U.S. locations at the start of 2024, including both company-owned and franchised locations. That net loss of 193 stores is not entirely surprising.
