Chicago’s mayoral campaign is revving up as nominating petitions start circulating Mayor Brandon Johnson’s reelection petitions will hit the streets today — the first day to start gathering the 12,500 signatures needed to qualify for the mayoral ballot — but that doesn’t mean the embattled incumbent has decided to seek a second term.
