eThekwini residents urged to prepare for disruptive rainfall The eThekwini Municipality has urged residents to take immediate precautions following a Level 4 disruptive rain warning issued by the South African Weather Service (SAWS), which is in effect from Tuesday until Wednesday evening. According to the forecast, widespread disruptive rainfall is expected across KwaZulu-Natal, with the eThekwini region among the areas expected to significantly be affected. The municipality warned that widespread showers and thundershowers are anticipated, which could pose a serious risk to lives, property and infrastructure. “The disruptive rainfall may result in flooding on settlements, roads, bridges, and low-lying areas.
