Water main break leads to 18 homes without water in North Philly, officials say

Over a dozen homes are without water on Thursday afternoon after a water main break, according to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Water Department. The main broke near the intersection of 18th and Wingohocking streets in North Philadelphia on July 30, officials said. Water department officials explained that they needed to shut off water services to 18 homes as crews work to fix the main.
