Russia remained the main external potential security threat to Bulgaria and the European NATO Member States and EU Member States in 2025, while the intensity of hybrid and cyber threats, including the spread of disinformation, increased significantly, states the 2025 activity report of the State Intelligence Agency (SIA), published on the Council of Ministers' website on Tuesday. During the past year, the SIA continued its activities to gather intelligence and conduct special intelligence operations for the early identification of risks and threats to national and allied security and the constitutional order. The Agency provided information to the State leadership and the competent institutions on priorities related to foreign policy, defence, the economy, finance, energy and other areas of public life.
