A Swedish man known as “the Playa Swede” has been sentenced to nine years and two months in prison for exceptionally serious international drug offences. The court found Jonas Falk organized multiple cocaine shipments from South America to Europe and was involved in cocaine production in Colombia. Falk, who has been a resident of Spain since 2007, argued the crimes, which took place outside of Sweden, should not be tried in a Swedish court. He will appeal the verdict.
