Big Stein wants a calzone bobblehead! The New York Yankees unveiled their latest George Costanza bobblehead for the team’s annual promotion, which will be on Aug. 27 when they host the Houston Astros. This year’s version, given to the first 18,000 guests in attendance, will feature Costanza wearing a Yankees jacket and holding a calzone, the food he got his boss George Steinbrenner hooked on. The New York Yankees are giving the first 18,000 fans a George Costanza calzone bobblehead on Aug. 27. The late Yankees owner, as depicted in the “Seinfeld” episode titled “The Calzone,” asks to take a bite of an eggplant calzone that Costanza, the team’s assistant to the traveling secretary, is eating during a lunch meeting. “Everybody out, I’ve got eggplant on my mind,” says Steinbrenner, voiced by “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David. “Costanza, go get me a couple calzones right now.
