Police are investigating a shooting Monday afternoon in San Francisco. The incident was reported just before 3 p.m. in the area of Market and Jones streets when officers patrolling the area heard gunshots. “Officers searched the area and discovered that a victim had been shot and the suspect fled the scene on foot,” police said in a new release. The victim was taken to a hospital for life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD. No other information was immediately available.
